Transformative Play

Free circus workshops in Footscray for trans, gender diverse and non-binary (TGD) folk.

Transformative Play is a series of creative circus workshops for trans, gender diverse and non-binary (TGD) people, with a focus on social connection, wellbeing and celebration.
In a safe and social environment led by skilled TGD-identifying circus trainers, participants will develop new physical and creative skills and explore ways of using the body for expression and storytelling.
Come for creativity, stay for connection.
The program is designed to evolve according to the different strengths or interest areas of the group and will culminate in a celebratory, informal performance at the Women’s Circus Drill Hall.
Women’s Circus has partnered with Transgender Victoria (TGV) to co-design and deliver workshops, ensuring diverse and safe participation, especially for marginalised TGD individuals.
This program is free, but registration is essential with a small refundable deposit.
