📣 COMING UP - Kids Holiday Circus Workshop (6-12yrs)! These school holidays we have two 3hr circus sessions for the kids, so you can drop them off for a morning of fun! They'll try a whole range of circus activities and games, and get a taste of what a Women's Circus class is like ahead of the new term. These sessions (and all our kids classes for under 12yrs) are for all genders 🥰

So come down to the iconic Drill Hall in Footscray to give a circus class a go, and learn all sort of fun circus skills in a safe and supportive environment. Complete beginners welcome!

EOIs to perform in our Annual Member Cabaret close on Tuesday! 😱🤩 Our Director @maliacirc and Assistant Director @rabbit_burrows want you to throw your hat in the ring and give it a go!

Are you a Women’s Circus member? Do you have the itch to get on stage? Perhaps the start of an idea? This is for you! 🎭 Even if you don’t have any ideas but have the desire to perform and challenge yourself, Malia and Katy will fully support you through the whole process ❤️

Read the info pack in our bio and submit your EOI before Tuesday! We are also having an info session and Q&A with Katy and Malia this Sunday, so if you’ve already applied or are thinking of applying, please come to the info session.

📣🎭 SCRATCH NIGHT TICKETS ON SALE NOW!! We’re having another Scratch Night next Sunday 14 September, right here at the Drill Hall!

An informal, in-house performance night for our community, the Scratch Night is a chance for our members to get together, share a laugh and watch a great show. Filled with works in progress, act ideas and skill showings from the training floor to the makeshift stage, the Scratch Night is a cosy night in to connect as a community.

The bar will be running and there will be a raffle! All funds raised go towards our Member Cabaret this December ❤️

💜💜💜 It's Wear It Purple Day!! 💜💜💜 Today we are wearing purple to show up for LGBTQIA+ youth. Wear It Purple's central mission is all about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for queer youth, allowing them to thrive and survive. This mission is so important to Women's Circus and so aligned with our own values and the kind of space we aim to create here at the Drill Hall.

Looking around the world and here at home, it's a scary time for the LGBTQIA+ community. Rainbow young people feel this acutely, in such an already challenging time of their lives. As our children, youth, and future we need to do everything we can to protect them and allow them to live authentically - safe and happy.

As a proudly queer organisation with a long history of standing up for LGBTQIA+ rights, queer and questioning kids and teens will always be welcome here. Women's Circus is a place they can be themselves, meet other young people who perhaps share their experience, and learn from LGBTQIA+ role models that accept them exactly how they want to be that day.
