The BOSS SQUAD Project by Wildhouse Circus is coming to Women’s Circus this April, and Expressions of Interest are now open! A circus skill and creative development program for young people of a marginalised gender, you’ll learn rarer circus skills like German Wheel and Teeterboard, and create acts to then perform on stage with the professional circus artists of BOSS SQUAD the show!

✨ When?
2-13 April 2024
Week 1: Tuesday – Saturday approx. 10am-4pm
Week 2: Monday – Friday approx. 10am-4pm
Performance Day: Saturday 13 April approx. 12pm-8pm

✨ Where?
Women’s Circus, Footscray. The performance will be at Meat Market, North Melbourne.

✨ Who can be involved?
Young people of a marginalised gender aged 13-17 years who have had at least one term of circus classes at Women’s Circus or another circus school. You can view our Gender Inclusion policy here.

✨ What is the cost?
The cost for participants is $100 for the two weeks. Included for this fee are all workshops, a personalised T-shirt, a hula hoop they will design and create, and snacks and catering on the performance day. Payment plans, flexible pricing and scholarships are available. Tickets to the performance will be on public sale for friends and family.

EOIs will be open 19 February – 17 March. There are limited places available in this program. Priority will be given to Women’s Circus class participants and those belonging to our priority groups: trans, non-binary, gender diverse and intersex people, LGBTQIA+ community, First Nations People, d/Deaf people and Disabled people. Remaining places will be selected at random. You will be notified within a week of the EOIs closing.
