Creative engagement opportunities with Circus Kathmandu


We have two FREE opportunities coming up at our Drill Hall home in West Footscray for you to creatively engage with internationally acclaimed Circus Kathmandu. Women’s Circus welcomes anyone to these event who identifies as, or has lived as a woman, or identifies as non-binary. 


Creative Development Sessions

Join Australian circus artist Christy Flaws and CK artists Saraswoti and Sheetal for three days of creative play and experimentation. Each three-hour session will further refine a creative vision for the company members that they will continue to explore upon their return to Nepal and the rest of the company. Perfect for WC members, artists with a physical practice, circus artists and directors. Preference to attendance at all sessions, however casual attendance permitted.

Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23, Thursday 24 May, 10am – 1pm. FREE (limited position so registration essential)



Social Circus Workshop

Join our trainers Franca Stadler and Sal Frances and Circus Kathmandu artists Sarawsoti and Sheetal to explore social circus tools, methods and games. Perfect for deepening your understanding of circus within a community and cross-cultural context. Recommended for current training members, former members, graduates of our New Women*s program or circus artists with experience delivering Social Circus programs. WC Community Circus Volunteers highly encouraged to attend.

Sunday 20 May, 1-4pm, light refreshments provided. FREE (limited spots, bookings essential).
