CIRCUS JOURNEY: weekly program
In this 5-week program, the group will learn the importance and joy of supporting one another while building individual confidence. This is an ideal program to help build friendship and camaraderie while providing space for participants to move, build strength and coordination and develop long lasting personal practices. Our trainers work to support participants to acknowledge their personal strengths with emphasis on their physical and emotional well-being. Circus skills may include acrobalance, aerials, juggling and hula hooping.

Our workshops are carefully designed for participants to get the most out of their time with us. Before booking please note the following:
These young women have lived in the same house (a boarding house) for about three months. Surprisingly the girls don’t communicate directly to each other but rather through the workers. The workshop was the first time I have seen them talk and laugh together, so awesome!
Women*s Circus provides a service that no other organisation offers and in this they are one of our Cities national treasures.
The young people loved every moment, and had some great individual support and coaching. The adults had fun too - one mother even re-discovered her hula-hoop skills and was encouraged to try some new ones as well. Thank you for organising a wonderful experience!
It was lovely to see how much fun and laughter could be created from a few hoops, a load of scarves and some well thought out activities.”
