Circus Day is fast approaching!
We welcome and encourage all women to participate in this day as it is a great opportunity to connect with the circus community. Bring a plate (with food on it) and take time to familiarise yourself with the Term 2 classes and Enrol.
Circus day will also be a Farewell to our music trainers Bec Matthews and Sarah Ward and a welcome to our new music trainer Irine Vela. To celebrate Bec and Sarah’s work with the Women’s Circus, the music group will be performing a short piece. There will also be an acro performance by some of our trainers.

On Wednesday 5th March the Women’s Circus performed at the Institute of Public Administration Australia’s annual International Women’s Day Dinner. The performances included acrobalance, stiltwalking, German wheel, fire-twirling and roving, as well as some live musical accompaniment provided by Bec Matthews and Teresa Blake. Over 1200 women were in attendance at the event which celebrated the centenary of women’s suffrage in Victoria and was themed “women across the generations”. Overall the night was a huge success with talk of the Women’s Circus being involved in next y ear’s IWD Dinner. The IPAA website has a brief article about the event with some great photos.
